A beautiful morning in Tucson! Didn't get up as early as we wanted to (hey, we don't really have a schedule). Once up and ready to roll, it was obvious we needed to downsize the load in the car. After a quick (hour) at the post office, 6 boxes got sent off to the east coast where i'm sure they will be very happy until we get there. On the road at the crack of noon!!
We noticed that in Arizona many folks pray before meals in restaurants. I'm sure that not everyone prays but it was really nice that for our one day in Arizona, that was what we noticed. That, and almost every radio station broadcasts Christian music!
New Mexico was a little different. Lots of county/cowboy music, cactus, open fields and, regretably, not much else. Thankfully, we were through NM in a couple of hours and on to El Paso and beyond. We're spending the night in Van Horn, Texas, a mere 650 miles from Houston. 2 days down, 2 more to go!
Thank you Lord for going before us to keep us safe and healthy on this trip.
